Coaching

It can be highly beneficial to discuss your questions and dilemmas with someone who knows your world but is not part of it. A sympathetic ear, someone you can be truly honest and open with, but from whom you can also receive confronting feedback or concrete advice for your next steps.

About coaching

'Pushing the boat out of the reeds'

Sometimes your boat needs a big push to get going again. Or perhaps it needs some maintenance. You set the agenda for the conversation. It might concern matters such like the dynamics within the team, the course you are taking, and/or the external conditions.

In coaching, personal experiences and beliefs that both influence and sometimes interfere with someone’s professional development may come to light. A sympathetic ear, but also someone who probes and does not judge, can help pinpoint and unleash the 'thorn' of the issue.

These conversations are completely confidential. A coaching process usually consists of five or six sessions of 1.5 hours. Generally, by then, your boat is out of the reeds again.

coaching

In team coaching, experiences and beliefs that influence, and sometimes hinder team results come to light. A coach creates a safe space for team development. She or he ensures that people really listen to each other and reflect on past, present and future. It can be truly helpful if a neutral outsider asks questions and shares observations. The coach identifies paralysing patterns in the team interaction and helps to overcome them.

A coaching process usually consists of five or six sessions lasting a half-day. Generally, by then, the boat is out of the reeds again.
